What we collect
We collect the account details you give us: your name, work email, company, role, and the factory or brand you belong to. We store the production logs your team writes, including stage updates, quantities, dates, and notes.
We store the photos your team uploads against an order, along with who uploaded them and when. We store voice notes and the text transcripts and translations generated from them.
We also keep basic technical records, such as sign-in times and the device and browser used, so we can keep accounts secure. We do not collect anything from your phone or computer beyond what you send us inside Cutsew.
How we use it
We use your data to run the service: to show orders, stages, logs, photos, and history to the people you work with.
We use it to translate updates, so a note written in one language can be read in another. Voice notes are transcribed and translated for the same reason.
We use it to send reminders and notifications, such as a missing daily log, an approval waiting on a brand, or a stage that has changed.
We look at aggregate, de-identified usage to improve the product. We do not use your production data to advertise to you, and we do not sell it.
Who can see it
Factory data stays private to the factory unless it is explicitly shared. Nothing leaves the factory view by default.
Brands see only what has been shared with them: the stages, progress, photos, and notes a factory chooses to publish on an order.
Inside your organisation, access follows the roles you set. You can add and remove team members at any time, and removed members lose access immediately.
A small number of our staff can access data when you ask us for support or when we must investigate a security issue. We never sell data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers who help us run Cutsew.
Where it lives
Your data is encrypted in transit and encrypted at rest. Photos and voice notes are stored in private object storage that requires a signed request to read.
It is hosted in the region you choose when your account is created, so a factory that must keep data in one region can do so.
Backups are encrypted and kept for a limited period so we can recover from a failure. Access to production systems requires multi-factor authentication.
If we ever need to move your data to another region, we will tell you before we do it.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time by emailing hello@cutsew.com. We will confirm your request and act on it within thirty days.
Exports include your orders, logs, notes, transcripts, and the photos attached to them, in a format you can keep.
You can correct anything inaccurate in your account, and you can ask us to stop sending notifications without closing your account.
If you close your account, we delete your data after a short grace period, apart from records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
